Green Card Lottery Eligibility Test

You are not eligible to participate in the 2004 Green Card Lottery. Your country of origin has been granted a maximum
number of United States Visas over the past five years.

You may apply for a Green Card however, if your spouse was born in a qualifying country, meaning
you can claim his/her birth country on your own application. Additionally, if
you were born in an ineligible country but neither of your parents was born or
resided there and was born in a qualifying country, you can claim the birth country
of your mother or father on your own application. A statement of explanation will
need to accompany your application.
